Sound healing

This is a topic so vast. I read a small blip about the pathways of sound in the body. I've summarized it here for your enjoyment. SO COOL!! We can only receive sound through our connective tissue and it uses water to move vertically through the body. It slows or stops when the connective tissue is too thick, inflexible, or dry- problems often created by incomplete emotional experiences. Meaning that if we don't take the time and ability to process we become tense and the tissue then blocked. Sound can't flow through inflexible tissue easily but it can stimulate the blocked emotions and trigger the original memories or feelings. I think this is why we have emotions attached to songs and sounds we hear. It may also be why we feel more when we are well hydrated. I believe this is huge in relation to our experiences of releasing emotions and those stuck places in our yoga practice. It is also why when we eat water rich foods we are more in tune with nature! I am so fascinated right now! This may also be why when you are in Savasana you are more apt to the subtleties of the energies and music surrounding you, whether my voice or a song the teacher plays. Comments? Opinions? I would love your thoughts on this!~
